The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada recommends that women with a normally progressing pregnancy engage in physical activity on a regular basis. Exercising during pregnancy helps prevent and reduce back pain, lower the risk of gestational diabetes, and support postpartum recovery

1e trimestre (semaines 1 à 13)

Staying active from the very start of your pregnancy is possible and beneficial! We focus on moderate-intensity workouts to preserve your energy, ease nausea, and maintain a solid muscular foundation. Our certified coaches adapt every movement to how you feel, day after day.

Second trimester (weeks 14 to 27)

This is the trimester of renewed energy, make the most of it! We strengthen the pelvic floor, work on posture, and mobilize the pelvis to prevent back pain. You'll feel strong, stable, and at ease in your changing body.

Third trimester (weeks 28 to 40)

We prepare your body for delivery: breathing, opening the pelvis, endurance and targeted exercises to make labour easier. Every movement is adapted to baby's weight and to your mobility, so you can stay active and safe right up to the big day.

Our group prenatal classes take place at our studio in Boisbriand, easily accessible from Blainville, Sainte-Thérèse, Rosemère, Mirabel, Lorraine, Bois-des-Filion, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Laval. We also offer all of our prenatal classes online through our Moov en Ligne platform, so you can train from home, wherever you live in Quebec.
Regular prenatal training offers concrete benefits for the big day: better cardiovascular endurance to support labour, greater openness and mobility in the pelvis to help baby descend, stronger pelvic floor muscles for more effective pushing, and breath control to manage contractions. Women who stay active during pregnancy also report shorter labours on average, fewer complications, and a faster postpartum recovery.
No prescription or medical clearance is required to join our prenatal classes. The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) recommends regular physical activity for women whose pregnancy is progressing normally. If your doctor has identified a specific condition (placenta previa, high-risk pregnancy, etc.), we recommend discussing it with them before you begin. You're also welcome to write to us so we can find the best option together for your situation.
You can start prenatal training as soon as you find out you're pregnant, unless your doctor advises otherwise. At Studio Moov, we welcome expectant moms from the first trimester right through the end of the third. Our certified prenatal coaches adapt every movement to your trimester and fitness level. And if you weren't active before pregnancy, this is still a great time to ease in gently, in a safe and supportive environment.
Absolutely. Unless your doctor advises otherwise for specific reasons, exercising from the 12th week of pregnancy is highly beneficial.  
All our classes are led by certified prenatal fitness trainers and are designed to be safe while addressing the unique needs of pregnant women. The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada recommends that women with a healthy pregnancy engage in regular physical activity.  
Additionally, our prenatal trainers are specially trained and certified in prenatal exercise to ensure a safe and effective workout experience.
Babies and children can only accompany you in postnatal classes. If you plan to attend with a baby or child, we recommend contacting us so we can guide you toward the most suitable postnatal class for pregnant women as well.
You should bring your yoga mat. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. You may also bring a water bottle and a small towel.
