How can you effectively communicate with your baby before they can even speak?

Baby sign language allows little ones to “talk” with their parents and caregivers long before they have the words to do so. Babies can understand and identify the world around them well before they develop the physical and motor skills needed for verbal expression.

Using simple signs, babies and their families can communicate important needs and emotions—such as hunger, thirst, sadness, or joy—often nearly a year before they begin to speak.

Research shows that baby sign language offers many benefits, including reducing frustration for both babies and parents, strengthening parent-child and caregiver-child bonds, supporting emotional development and self-esteem, stimulating speech development, and even contributing to higher IQ.

This workshop is designed for parents, grandparents, and educators of babies aged 3 to 24 months. It is led by Isabelle Veilleux, perinatal and early childhood specialist. Companion tickets are available for partners or grandparents of a baby whose parent is already registered.
